Slash And Bash Short Film Contest
You or your team will have Nine (9) days to shoot, edit, and deliver your film starting on Friday night, June 3rd and ending the following Sunday, June 12th when the completed film must be turned in at the designated drop off point no later than 7:00 PM. We’re screening your flicks at Slash and Bash and prizes will be awarded!
Criteria: This year, your film must include each of the following:
(These criteria will be kept secret until Friday June 3rd!)
Line of Dialogue: The required Line of Dialogue must be used verbatim. It may be spoken, sung and/or written. It may be in any language, though if it is unclear that it is the required Line, there must be a translation subtitle.
Character name: The required person’s name can be mentioned, or a character bearing the name can be named and seen on-screen.
Prop: The required prop must be seen on screen.
Genre: Since Slash-and Bash is a Horror/Sci-Fi Film Fest, we expect your film to fall into one of those categories.

Topics discussed will be history of Topeka, NOTO Arts District, Downtown Topeka and Topeka’s new Preservation Survey Grant.
